Great Waves of Land, The Sculpture of Nadia Yaron

Southampton, New York: Jeff Lincoln Art + Design presents, "Great Waves of Land, The Sculpture of Nadia Yaron", a new group of sculptures by Hudson, New York-based artist Nadia Yaron.

A self taught artist, Yaron creates her unique pieces from heavy chunks of wood, stone and metal, which are meticulously sculpted and stacked in poetic compositions that reflect on the influence and the artist's love of nature and the landscape.

Her tools of choice are chainsaws, grinders and hand carving tools which she employs with a refined hand and a sophisticated eye for composition, which result in works that have a quiet power and dignity. "I stack my individual sculptures to create a feeling of harmony alongside imbalance, an apt reminder of how delicate our world is," the artist states. "They are an attempt at physically embodying and making permanent the everchanging landscape around us."

Nadia Yaron's work has been shown in many recent exhibitions, including "Totum" in Los Angeles curated by Kyle De Woody and at TIWA Select in LA, D-Day Studio in Woodstock, New York and Upstate Diary in Catskill, New York. Through September 15th.
