Andrea Zambelli, co-founder of Hillsideout since 2009, is both a maker and a designer. Meaning that he personally makes what he designs. His approach to design comes from the use of ancient skills of application that he combines with a modernist and contemporary vision.
In 2021, under his new label AZ Design, Zambelli began creating a series of works that reflects his thoughts and concepts which are personal yet universally relatable.

The center walnut inlay represents the north to south route through Italy. From Piedmont's maples to Puglia's olive trees, each wood type tells a tale. "La Strada" was created as part of the visionary project "Trattoria Altra Vista", curated by the art collective Anotherview. The 7.6 meter length is made by piecing six table together.
