Caleb Woodard (b. 1979) is a second-generation woodworker and designer. He was exposed to woodworking early on by his father, a traditional craftsman, who professionally made furniture.
Woodard uses wood to tell a story. He is especially interested in the design flourishes and shapes made possible with wood. His work is intricately hand-carved, engraved and textured with thousands of cuts. Woodard’s work ranges from sculptural lighting to wall panels and furnishings.
He founded his original furniture studio in 2005 in Washington, DC. In 2013 his studio was relocated to his hometown Springfield, TN, where he works on projects with his small team.
